Twelve winning artists will be selected by our panel of esteemed judges, each judge a Gallery owner/Manager from the city. The selected works from the winning artists will create the first 'Cambridge Invitational Art Exhibition'.
Each winner and a guest will be invited to attend our awards evening and be the first to receive their Cambridge Invitational Art Award and a preview of the exhibition.
The preview evening will include further individual awards, prizes, drinks and a chance to chat to our judges and commercial art Purchasers.
The evening will also provide great publicity opportunities with media interviews from local press and tv.
We are thrilled to announce that Castle Fine Art will house the exhibition & preview-awards evening in a bespoke gallery space within the Grand Arcade.
For one week winning artworks will be exhibited exclusively, for viewing and for sale during the busiest shopping time of the year.
The Mayor of Cambridge will also be in attendance supporting the event and selecting another first with the Cambridge Invitational 'Mayor's Choice art award'.
This will be one of five individual awards.
The Twelve winning artists are all eligible for one of the following awards and prizes from Cambridge's finest patrons of the Arts....
The 'Midsummer House Art Award' including a three course fine dining meal for two' at the Two star Michelin restaurant
The inaugural 'DoubleTree Art Award'.
Plus a luxury night for two at the Hilton, with riverside views.
The 'Scudamore's Art Award' including a private Chauffeured Champagne River Tour for up to six people
The 'Tindalls Art Award' plus £150 worth of Tindalls artist supplies vouchers...

September 29th - Deadline for all submissions.
October 1st - Judging process for awards.
October 20th - The winning twelve to be announced on our website and informed by e-mail.
November 10th - Awards evening and Exhibition Preview.
Cambridge Invitational Exhibition 2019.
The contest requires two submissions from each artist at a total cost of just £35.
Galeria Moderna are pleased to announce our support of the Arts and Minds charity
with a £1 donation from each entry, plus our gallery's 20% commission from all exhibition sales.
Arts and Minds are based in Cambridge, running programmes across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, as well as supporting the national agenda for arts in health.
Arts and Minds creates high quality artistic programmes that support the positive mental health of individuals and communities.
Their programmes include Arts on Prescription, Young People with Dementia Pottery, Michaelhouse Singers and they are part of Fullscope, a consortium supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.

The competition will be open to artists outside of art societies in the final 3 weeks before the deadline of the 29th September, via a local Cambridge newspaper article.
This will only allow a limited number of artists as there is a total limit to the number of entrants.
